School.jpgThe Finley-Sharon Public School district #19 is primarily a rural school district of 293 square miles. The communities of Finley, ND and Sharon, ND merged together in 1975 to form the Finley-Sharon Public School and the first graduating class was in the spring of 1976. The Finley-Sharon School K-12 today is located in the city of Finley, ND, which is approximately 26 miles west of Mayville, ND.

The current enrollment is 169 (2007 -2008 school year) which allows for an excellent student to teacher ratio allowing the students who need extra help to receive it. We are also part of the Century 21 Program which provides after school programs for students and adults who wish to participate.

bus.jpg Our staff includes 19 teachers, superintendent/high school principal, elementary principal/athletic director and one part time counselor. Special education services are provided through the Griggs, Steele, Traill (GST) cooperative.

Our curriculum has a variety of academic offerings which include vocational agriculture, home economic, computer classes, band choir and core area instruction. Extra curricular activities include music, speech, drama and athletics. Dual credit classes are available for grades 11 and 12 students who qualify and desire to participate.

Completely wired for the internet, each classroom has a Macintosh computer for the instructors use and a lab, located in the high school, with 20 IBM computers is used by high school and elementary students.

We welcome newcomers to the area to tour our school and new student enrollment is easily accomplished.
